Des McKeown lends his support to Cumbernauld Christmas Cracker fitness bootcamp

CUMBERNAULD’S Tesco Craigmarloch store is set to host Cumbernauld’s Christmas Cracker fitness bootcamp.

Tesco’s Craigmarloch car park will accommodate the event, which has seen one of Scotland's biggest daily newspapers is showing an interest towards a huge family Christmas Day bootcamp.

The event is steadily gaining momentum with more and more people getting involved and television pundit and columnist Des McKeown has added his support to the fundraiser for Cancer Research UK.

On the stroke of 11am, the festive fun workout will get started in the car park of the Tesco Craigmarloch store with at least a 150 locals being involved. It is hoped the national paper will be on hand to take pictures of this unique event.

John Allan (43) who is behind the bootcamp said: “It's amazing the response we've had so far, all the local primary schools are keen to participate in our competition to design a poster that will be used to highlight such a worthwhile cause.' He added, 'it's brilliant when prominent members of the community start to show an interest and lend a hand, we are going from strength to strength.”
