Letters to the Editor: Survey returns

A CARBRAIN resident has sent Cumbernauld Media a letter in which he outlines his frustration at there being no freepost envelopes included alongside a local, first-time survey, being distributed by Cumbernauld and Kilsyth’s MSP.

Greenrigg Road resident Bill Henry sent us his letter through the Cumbernauld Media Facebook page, “Our local MSP Jamie Hepburn has mail dropped a letter concerning The Waste Management Company in Lenziemill which is causing concern to residents in our (Carbrain etc) re smell, seagulls, vermin etc, the letter is outlined as a survey and has yes/no tick boxes, Jamie has asked for the letters to be returned to his Constituency Office in The Wynd, I've had a few of my neighbours asking if I'd got the letter and If a reply envelope was included as they are a wee bit annoyed that they have to pay for any return postage or travel down to The Wynd with the filled in letter at their cost, can you please find out why no reply envelopes were included, thank you.”

Cumbernauld Media contacted Cumbernauld and Kilsyth MSP Jamie Hepburn and we were told that nobody is obliged to reply and that finance constraints do not allow for mass freepost envelope distribution.

Nobody from the MSP's office was available for comment.
