Cumbernauld Parish Church lodges planning application for new roof

A CUMBERNAULD church has lodged a planning application, for approval to improve its roof.

Cumbernauld Parish Church, in the Baronhill area of Cumbernauld Village applied for planning permission on Thursday 26th July, and if approved will allow the church to alter the Church’s current chancel look, alongside roof strengthening works and external stair balustrades.

A spokesperson for Cumbernauld Parish Church addressed the Church’s online readers: “While discussions continue with the architects and quantity surveyors, about the details of the work to be done on our roof, we are pleased to announce that the amount collected in our twice-yearly 'coffee jar' offerings in June amounted to £300.54, so well done everyone!”

The planning application was validated on Wednesday 1st August 2012 and is officially pending consideration.
