CUMBERNAULD Centurions have officially announced they are resuming their evening practice sessions.

The Centurions BMX club had to cancel practice sessions in July after record rainfall left the club’s track, next to St. Maurice’s High School waterlogged.

Online, a club spokesman confirmed that the club’s evening practice sessions had begun “…after a colossal downpour hit the track…” leaving the track’s “…surface virtually unrideable.”

The Cumbernauld Centurions BMX Club made the announcement that their club’s evening practice sessions were to resume on Tuesday 17th July after a clean up session on Monday 16th July saw volunteers turn out to repair the tracks.

“Thanks to all who made it to the track repair session on Monday afternoon”, a club spokesman said. “An absolutely superb effort! No doubt there will be a few aches and pains today [Tuesday 17th July 2012], but relax in the warm glow that the return of practice will bring to your loved ones.”
