Cumbernauld Media have published an exclusive video interview with Scottish Housing and Transport Minister Keith Brown.

The interview, which was compiled by Cumbernauld Media’s Scott Campbell, took place after the Minister visited Cumbernauld’s Fleming Road flats to officially open the 31 new properties, owned by Sanctuary Cumbernauld.

During his visit Mr Brown said that the properties were “great” and said that the Scottish Government would aim to construct 30’000 new social houses by the end of the current parliamentary term, in 2016.

As Mr Brown arrived in Cumbernauld yesterday (19th July) afternoon, Sanctuary Scotland’s Director Gordon Laurie welcomed the Minister and gave the MSP a tour around one of the new properties, which were filled by residents from Allanfauld Road, one of the blocks which will soon be demolished to make way for new social housing in Cumbernauld.

Our interview with Mr Brown is embedded below.
