Cumbernauld Theatre and Cumbernauld’s Noizy Indie Social Club have partnered up to bring Cumbernauld ‘A Festival of Music 2012.’

Promoting the event online, the Cumbernauld Theatre asks: “How long has it been since we’ve seen an event of this calibre in Cumbernauld?  Some might argue not since the 80s.”

The announcement of the September event came as The Noizy Indie Social Club announced their latest July show, entitled Fluorescent Hearts, which will take place from 7pm on Saturday 28th July, with tickets being £8 on the door.

Now, however, the Noizy and Cumbernauld Theatre have teamed up to bring about a twelve hour music festival which “is not to be missed”, according to a Cumbernauld Theatre spokesperson.

This year’s music festival will run in Cumbernauld Theatre from midday until midnight on Saturday 22nd September, and “…it will feature some of the best and most prolific bands and acts from the Scottish music scene as well as showcasing local talent,” according to the Cumbernauld Theatre’s website.

The upcoming event will host over twenty bands and artists within the main auditorium and studio theatre, including DJ sets in both bars.

A Cumbernauld Theatre spokesperson added: “This event is not to be missed and will put Cumbernauld back on the map as a pioneer of a burgeoning music scene.”

The event is for over eighteens over, ID must  be provided and wristbands will be issued.
