Strathclyde Police conduct massive Carbrain man hunt

Cumbernauld has been gripped by curiosity as people noticed numerous police cars, officers and uncover officers swarm the Carbrain area of Cumbernauld.

The initial incident began at shortly after 4pm today (June 26th) as officers from Strathclyde Police began to search the paths and wooded areas around the Liddel Road Playpark and Kwik Fit.

Then, after 4.30pm, officers, guided by a helicopter, swarmed into North Carbrain, searching the area street by street, with marked cars and marked officers as well as unmarked cars and plain clothes officers, as part of a massive operation.

At shortly after 5pm news was relayed back from Strathclyde Police, with confirmation received that officers were looking for an individual who had an outstanding arrest warrant.

The man is said to be wearing a black hooded top but no further description has been released of the suspect.

A source within Strathclyde Police confirmed that the suspect was not a danger to the general public.
